Abigail Van Huss is the Co-Director of Excavations at Shiloh. She previously participated in the Khirbet el Maqatir excavations as a square supervisor and objects registrar. Her first experience with archaeology was in 2007 at the Temple Mount Salvage Operation. Since then she has participated in numerous excavations throughout Israel, including serving as Area Supervisor at Khirbet er-Rafid and at Khirbet Auja el-Foqa and as a member of the Manasseh Hill Country Survey. Abigail is ABD (All But Dissertation) in her PhD program at Ariel University. She is the author of The El-Burnat (A) Structure(s): Joshua’s Altar?, a book based on her thesis from The Bible Seminary. Abigail lives in Johnson City, TN, with her husband, Clayton.
